2024 Board of Directors
Statement of Policy
The mission of the volunteer Board of Directors, Operations Committee, and employed staff is to provide a wholesome, safe family environment and a recreational atmosphere for our members and guests. Every effort has been made to maintain a personal sensitivity to accommodate the needs and wishes of our members while providing fairness to all. Although certain regulations may seem restrictive to some, we hope that you will accept them in the spirit in which they have been developed by our board of directors. Safety is our first concern, without compromise. We ask that you oblige our trained young adult staff whose job it is to provide the safe and friendly atmosphere, which we have come to expect at North Harford Swim Club. If, for any reason, you are dissatisfied with the operation of the club, the staff, or have questions or suggestions, we welcome the opportunity to discuss them with you.
Megan Ivy
PRESIDENT
My husband, Rob and I have resided in Street since 2002, but we both grew up in Jarrettsville. Along with my son and daughter, we have been members of North Harford Swim Club since 2013. I grew up at NHSC during my summers, from the age of 4, then I began working at the club from age 14-26. I LOVE NHSC. Our children started on the North Harford Neptunes Swim Team last summer.
Matt Garland
VICE PRESIDENT
My name is Matt Garland, I look forward to serving as Vice President and hope to have a positive impact on the swim club for years to come. My family has lived in Jarrettsville since 2016, but my wife Amy and I grew up in the North Harford area. We both spent our childhood summers enjoying North Harford Swim Club and our late teen years working as lifeguards at NHSC. Since joining in 2015, our three children spend as much time as possible at the pool and really look forward to spending the summer with their pool family and friends.
Lauryn Krauch
MEMBERSHIP
I am Lauryn Krauch and I am very excited to join the pool board as NHSC Membership. I moved to Jarrettsville in 2019 with my husband and two boys. Since then we have joined a local Cub scout pack, participated in recreational/club sports and have fallen in love with Harford County. I recently transferred to the Harford County Public School System from Baltimore County and volunteer locally as a Cub Scout Den Leader and now as your membership coordinator. I look forward to meeting all of you and being part of making NHSC better each year!
Lindsay Ayres
TREASURER 1
I am very excited to serve on the NHSC board this year. My husband, Kevin, and I have lived in this area for 10 years and enjoy raising our three children here. We love spending our summer days with all of the friends we have met at the pool over the last few years. In addition to the swim club, I am involved with my children’s scout troops, my daughter’s club soccer team, and the North Bend Elementary PTA. I look forward to seeing you all at the pool this summer!
Melissa McGraw
TREASURER 2
I am a mom of seven and I work full time as a Mortgage Loan Officer. My husband, Jeff, and I live in Harford County and are involved in the local Boy Scout Troop as well as local rec sports (football and soccer). My hobbies include my children, four chickens and two dogs. I spend free time helping with Pit Beef Fundraisers for scouts (my husband does the pit beef). I also enjoy cooking and taking pictures of the children and animals.

OPERATIONS I
A Harford County transplant from Perry Hall since 2008 is about to begin his 5th season involved with the NHSC. He and his family enjoy the pool immensely and his children are also members of the Neptunes swim team.
Zach Schmidt
OPERATIONS II
My name is Zach Schmitt. My wife, Andrea, and I have resided in northern Harford County for much of our entire lives. We are Harco through and through. We have two beautiful children, Drake and Paige, and we have been members of the swim club since 2018. We have loved every minute of it. We know so many others enjoy the club as much as we do and I am happy to do my part to help the club prosper for so many families to enjoy for years to come.
Nicole Jobe
SECRETARY
My name is Nicole Jobe. My family and I moved to Harford County in 2020 and became members of North Harford Swim Club in 2021. My husband and 3 children love spending our summer swimming at the pool. My daughter is a member of the swim team and hopefully my younger 2 children will follow in her footsteps. The pool is a great way for families to be together and enjoy time together. I hope to create a family fun environment for the pool.

HUMAN RESOURCES
I moved to Harford County in 2006 from California, where I was born and raised. We have been swim club members since 2013, when Samantha was 5 and Noah was 6 months old. We have enjoyed many summers at North Harford Swim Club which have included swim lessons, planned activities and events, and have been on our Neptunes swim team since 2017, where I volunteer in the role of marketing and communications position. Samantha had her first summer job here, too. North Harford Swim Club has been our summer home for years, and I look forward to helping our members have the same experiences we have had.
Laurie Brown
ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR
Hi! My name is Laurie Brown, aka LB. My husband Time, kids Abel & Evie have been members of NHSC since 2018. We have resided in Forest Hill and live now in Jarrettsville, where I grew up. We'e spent much time at the pool with swim lessons, swim team (go Neptunes!), and just enjoying all the pool has to offer. We LOVE having our friends visit (and even join!) the pool with us. I love kids and doing fun activities with them, so I hope you will join me this summer in all the fun Family Activities that will be provided. I am a longtime volunteer at the church and children's schools for hands-on crafts, silliness, celebrations, and general FUN. I am looking forward to leading these activities at the pool and having a blast with you!

PUBLICITY & COMMUNICATIONS
I moved to Harford County in 2017 with my husband Justin and kids, Ruby & Ty. We quickly made Jarrettsville and the surrounding areas our home. We became members of NHSC in 2019. We absolutely loved the fun, family-friendly atmosphere. We can usually be found poolside most summer days, as well as on the sidelines cheering on our daughter and the rest of the North Harford Neptunes on the weekends. If you didn't already know me as a member or swim parent, you might recognize me as the mid-2022 season interim Pool Manager. This is my 1st year on the Board of Directors. I hope to provide the NHSC members with accurate and timely communication on pool matters and make the 50th Anniversary the best year yet!
